For now, “Twin Peaks” fans will have to settle with re-watching the first three seasons. More ammo for the Twin Peaks Season 4 pistol Sabrina Sutherland, executive producer of Twin Peaks : The Return, has suddenly started posting a lot of behind-the-scenes over from Twin Peaks : The Return on her Instagram in recent weeks. If that’s true, MacLachlan isn’t giving anything away. “Twin Peaks” fans were abuzz last October on social media over rumors that Lynch had secretly started working on a new “Twin Peaks” season. Whenever Lynch does call, whether it’s for “Twin Peaks” Season 4 or some other project, MacLachlan won’t hesitate to answer. “That is in the mind of David Lynch, where it will stay hidden,” the actor said. Season 3 of Twin Peaks recently wrapped up its 18-episode run on Showtime and left audiences with more questions than answers. Our final verdict on that is mostly that there’s potential to do more cool stuff with the show, but Showtime would be making a big risk given that the number of subscribers. It’s in an experience I’ll cherish forever.”Īs for whether or not he will return as Cooper in a new season, MacLachlan has no idea and is leaving the possibility entirely up to David Lynch. Twin Peaks season 4 is still a possibility according to director David Lynch - but even if he received the greenlight, it would take years to bring new episodes to the screen.
